Round Turn Distilling is a small-batch craft distillery and cocktail bar/tasting room located in downtown Biddeford, Maine. We produce award-winning Bimini Gin which we highlight on our diverse cocktail menu. We are open evenings and weekends for seated indoor table service. Our bottle shop offers branded merch, cocktail tools and mixers, Bimini Gin bottles, and local gift items.
We have an all-hands approach to service, so everyone does a little bit of everything. A typical shift would include both FOH and BOH duties: bar setup and breakdown, greeting and seating guests, taking orders, mixing and serving drinks, plating and serving prepared snacks, bussing, dishwashing, handling cash and credit card transactions, restocking retail shelves, restocking backbar items, EOD cleaning tasks, etc.
Core responsibilities include:
- Helping to create a relaxed, inviting, and safe atmosphere
- Mixing and serving cocktails with care and consistency
- Basic bar prep
- Educating customers about Bimini Gin and Round Turn (background, distilling process, product highlights)
- Handling, packaging, and sales of drinks, food, and retail merchandise
- Opening/closing duties and daily upkeep/cleaning tasks
Core requirements include:
- 21+
- Certified in alcohol server training or willing to obtain certification (online course, RTD will cover costs)
- Interest in cocktail/spirits history and technique with a desire to learn
- Ability to efficiently multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Confident, courteous, and responsible
- Attention to detail
- Availability for occasional extra shift coverage
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Previous hospitality experience preferred but not necessary
